DRUM BRAKES REPAIR & MAINTENANCE
Some light cars and trucks still use drum brake systems. Drum brakes are located on the rear wheels and are composed of a brake shoe that pushes against the inside of a steel drum to stop your vehicle. Drum brakes are very simple and effective which require very little maintenance. However, if you notice that your drum brakes are making noises, vibrating, or grinding, bring your vehicle into NAPA Autopro for maintenance. Our technicians will be able to inspect the system to determine what is causing the problem. Sometimes the cause is from not being clean enough, or that the drums have reached the end of their lifespan, which will require a replacement.
You will avoid costly repairs to your drum brake system when you bring your vehicle into our certified NAPA Autopro in Brampton. The technician will do preventative maintenance to your vehicle’s brake system and will check to see if your drum brakes are working properly, ensuring your vehicle is safe to drive.
