DISC BRAKE INSPECTION & REPAIR BRAMPTON

A disc brake consists of a caliper with a pad that squeezes a disc attached to the wheel. Your vehicle stops when the hydraulic brake line, which is connected to the brake pedal, activates the piston(s) in the caliper. These parts must be able to move freely and require frequent inspection to make sure the effects of corrosion, wear and tear, and heat doesn’t cause them to seize.

If you don’t get your disc brakes inspected or maintained, they can cause your brake pedal to pulsate, make the grinding or squealing noises, or cause your wheels or steering wheel to vibrate. If you’re experiencing any of these problems, your braking system may be compromised and you need to have your vehicle serviced immediately.

DISC BRAKE INSPECTION

When you bring your vehicle into our certified NAPA Autopro in Brampton, our technicians can inspect your disc brake system to determine if the disks just need to be lubricated to extend their lifespan. They will also check if anything needs to be replaced or repaired, including seized calipers or worn brake pads. Your brake fluid will also be changed according to your vehicle’s manufacturer’s recommended service schedule.
